Elizabeth C Jones is an Emmy Award-winning producer and director who has been making short and long-form current affairs documentaries for three decades. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter with Newsweek magazine based in Toronto and then London. In 1993, she moved to Nairobi to operate as a “one-man band” video journalist. The following year she was in Rwanda before and during the genocide, and followed the perpetrators into Zaire (DRC) where she reported for BBC Newsnight. That led to work with BBC Panorama and This World, as well as Channel 4’s Unreported World and Dispatches. More recently she has worked on investigative films for PBS, BBC Arabic and Africa Eye. She is currently working on a project for Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit.
