Kunda Dixit is a journalist and editor. He is co-publisher at Himalmedia which produces the weekly Nepali language magazine Himal Khabarpatrika, and chief editor of the English-language weekly newspaper Nepali Times. Dixit is a graduate of Columbia University and started out as a reporter for BBC Radio at the United Nations in New York before serving as the Asia-Pacific Regional Editor of Inter Press Service. He returned to Nepal to set up Panos South Asia and is the author of several books, including a trilogy on the Nepali conflict, and Dateline Earth: Journalism As If the Planet Mattered. He served a two-year term as the board chair of the Centre for Investigative Journalism – Nepal and teaches Media Studies at Kathmandu University, and as visiting faculty at New York University Abu Dhabi Campus.
