Serena Tinari is the co-founder of Re-Check, a non-profit organization for investigating and mapping health affairs. She started working as a journalist in 1994. Between 2002 and 2015, she was an investigative reporter and documentary maker for the Swiss public broadcaster Falò RSI and Patti chiari (RSI), and for Rundschau (SRF). Primarily specialized in medicine and healthcare, she has experience on human rights and digital security. She is a member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). Serena has initiated in 2019 with fellows investigative journalists Nicky Hager and Blaz Zgaga #JournalistsSpeakUpForAssange – www.speak-up-for-assange.org She grew up in Rome, Italy, and is based since 2000 in the German part of Switzerland.
