Kaas works with all aspects of data journalism: he obtains data, structures and analyzes data and makes the results accessible and easy to understand. He also researches people or companies, and conduct surveys.

In addition, Kaas & Mulvad organizes courses, teaching, and continuing education in a number of different topics. They have a number of open courses, and often organize teaching as internal training in a workplace.
