Amantha Perera is the Regional Coordinator at the Dart Centre for Journalism and Trauma, Asia Pacific. He is currently in the final stages of his Master of Research project heading into PhD studies at the School of Education and the Arts, Central Queensland University, Australia. His current research investigates the impact of online trauma on journalists during and after the COVID-19 lockdowns.
His works of journalism have appeared in TIME, the Guardian, Reuters, Washington Post, and other international outlets.
