Donna Yates is an Associate Professor in Criminal Law and Criminology in the Faculty of Law at Maastricht University. Her research focuses on the contemporary illicit trade in antiquities, fossils, and collectable wildlife, and the ongoing social issues related to historical collection of cultural objects. She is the principal investigator of the European Research Council-funded project “Trafficking Transformations: Objects as Agents in Criminal Networks, and is a founding member of the “Trafficking Culture” research consortium.
