Roman Anin is an investigative reporter who has shed light on Russia’s rampant corruption across the military, politics and business. He has reported for Novaya Gazeta and collaborated with the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) and international outlets. He investigated fraudulent construction contracts for the Sochi Olympic Games, corruption on a deal between Swedish telecom TeliaSonera and the daughter of Uzbek President Islam Karimov, and more. He received the most prestigious awards in Russian investigative journalism in 2012: the Artem Borovik award, the Youlian Semenov award and the Andrey Sakharov award.
